Another picture of my beloved Bure close to Brampton. By shooting on negative film, rather than slide film, this image of the bend of the river has created a low contrast image that really shows of the winters pale watery colours. The river Bure from here to Aylsham was once a bustling commercial route used by wherries, but was abandoned after the locks along the waterway were damaged in the notorious 1912 floods. You can follow the river closely here as the public footpath runs right along side it.

NORFOLK NATTER
We seem to have been struck by some nasty weather, high winds and driving rain. Also the dead sperm whale has been removed. The sudden boost in local trade will be missed I'm sure, but the whale had become a bit of a health hazard.
