If you are the editor of a countryside magazine, please give me call if you are interested in a countryside article , illustrated with my photography. Ask for a sample of my previously published work.
The lock, shrouded in mist in the background, is just a little way downstream of Burgh next Aylsham mill. This once commercially busy part of the countryside now stands in splendid isolation and is just the sort of place this website was set up to celebrate. Go and take a look, the public footpath runs right along side it. I once went to the lock in very foggy conditions and standing there in islolation with just the sound of the water rushing through the lock was amazing, then out of the mist flew a Barn Owl silently sweeping past me just a few feet away. Texture plays a huge part in monochrome photography. The effect of the frost on the different plants are what attracted me to take this view.
