I took this on Hanworth common, the ownership of which was contested in recent years and is now protected by a group of trustees from the village. I had been waiting for these particular weather conditions and when they arrived I jumped in the car and headed straight to the common through the mist. It was a tricky drive but photographically exactly what I wanted. The image is in fact shot on colour negative film but the light conditions have given it the look of a toned monochrome print.

Not sure about Hevingham, how many times do we hear about car crashes on that road. I wonder if the authorities keep tabs on that kind of thing, but clearly somthing is going on to confuse drivers on that stretch. If you are headed in that direction then please take a bit of extra care!
